SUMMARY:QIF Training Task Force
DESCRIPTION:Originally announced in April\, 2022\, a DMSC Exploratory Task Group will investigate the feasibility of a formalized QIF training program. The inaugural meeting has been scheduled for Thursday\, 8 September 2022 @ 11am ET. \nWith QIF-centric educational opportunities being sparse\, the Digital Metrology Standards Consortium sees new training options as key to future widespread adoption of the Quality Information Framework/QIF standard as industry continues its digital transformation. \nThe DMSC Board of Directors has authorized the formation of this Exploratory Task Group and is looking for a diversified set of participants that can work to develop a plan and provide sufficient perspective to conclude if a formalized program will further DMSC’s QIF goals (in a practical sense). \nThe DMSC Exploratory Task Group would operate in a similar manner to current DMSC Working Groups\, and ultimately report back to the DMSC Board of Directors. \nThe DMSC expects this Task Group to discuss and determine: \n• What DMSC resources would be required to develop a training program?\n• What would be the cost for developing and maintaining a QIF training program?\n• Who would run the training program (3rd party organizations\, etc) and what would the cost be?\n• What are the benefits of developing a formalized training program?\n• Who would be the target candidates for such a program?\n• Would there be sufficient demand for this service to justify the level of effort for development?\n• How would such a program be administered?\n• Do the existing DMSC resources support the development and administering of such a program? \nIn short\, this Task Group would deliver a fully sketched out training program with a detailed cost/benefit analysis. \nAll interested parties (including non-DMSC members) are invited to be part of this Task Group. A DMSC Member Chair and/or Co-Chair are yet to be named. The DMSC has scheduled the inaugural Task Group meeting for 8 September 2022 @ 11am ET. \n\nMicrosoft Teams meeting \nJoin on your computer or mobile app \nClick here to join the meeting \nMeeting ID: 241 171 883 543\nPasscode: ykoTi5 \nDownload Teams | Join on the web \nOr call in (audio only) \n+1 585-371-5124\,\,473980079#   United States\, Rochester \nPhone Conference ID: 473 980 079#

SUMMARY:Model-Based Characteristic Working Group
DESCRIPTION:Model-Based Characteristics Working Group\nThe Model-Based Characteristics Working Group launched June 2020 and conducts twice monthly meetings for the purpose of developing a draft proposal for a new ANSI standard for Model-Based Characteristics: Nomenclature\, Definitions\, Symbols\, and Practice. \nChair: Mark Neilson\, TechAzul\nCo-Chair: Curtis Brown\, Honeywell FM&T / DMSC President \nWe encourage participation in this WG by DMSC Members as there is still plenty of time for meaningful contribution before the final draft is submitted to the DMSC Quality Measurement Standards Committee. Once submitted to ANSI\, review and approval can take many months before a new standard results (targeted for 2022). \nSubscribe to receive DMSC News and Announcements for further updates on the MBC WG activities. \nFor Information on DMSC Membership Opportunities\, click here or contact Executive Director\, Mark Thomas. \nMore Details on this DMSC Working Group – Click Here \nMeeting Link shared exclusively with Working Group Participants & DMSC Members
