Soon, it will be easier to find a QIF Solution Provider that can help you navigate your MBE/QIF journey. The DMSC Board of Directors has approved the development of a QIF Marketplace as a resource directory on the DMSC website.

This new page is under development and expected to be completed within the next 90 days. It will identify our member organizations’ products and service offerings to streamline your search for the right resources for your requirements. Essentially, the QIF Marketplace is a catalog of products and services with links pointing to the appropriate Solution Provider’s website.

The QIF Marketplace is another way that the DMSC seeks to help member organizations promote solutions. Providing this directory of resources consequently allows the QIF community to continue growing.

The DMSC makes this available as a resource only and does not endorse or certify any specific resource. The QIF Marketplace page is solely a directory of DMSC member Solution Providers’ offerings.

The marketplace is expected to be released after our DMSC Solution Providers provide the marketing information necessary to populate it.

Please contact Mark Thomas at mark.thomas@qifstandards.org for more information.

A new DMSC webpage is currently under development. Aimed to help you find the QIF solutions you need, we are identifying our member organizations’ products and services to streamline your search for the right resources for your requirements.

The new DMSC QIF Marketplace page will include sortable tables that will display QIF Solution Providers and briefly describe their products and services and provide links to their appropriate solution provider’s website. Altogether, the QIF Marketplace page is another way that the DMSC helps member organizations find the solutions they need and consequently allows the QIF community to continue growing by providing a directory of resources.

The DMSC is making this available as a resource only and does not endorse nor certify any specific resource. The Marketplace page is solely a directory of Solution Providers’ offerings.

This new website feature is expected to be released in H1 2024. If you have a specific feature or attribute you would like to suggest, please contact Mark Thomas at mark.thomas@qifstandards.org.

Requirements for the new section are currently being defined.

In addition to a booth display (#135001), a DMSC in-person meeting is planned following exhibit hours. DMSC members and guests interested in learning more about DMSC are invited to participate. In addition to an organizational update, participants will hear from President Curtis Brown in his State of the DMSC address and receive a brief update from some of our QIF Solution Providers.

A “focus group” session is being planned to solicit ideas and comments about our new QIF training program. The QIF Training Working Group has been tasked with preparing a 3 to 5-minute presentation of a prototype training video. The DMSC “focus group” will review and critique the presented prototype ideas and concepts.

Other in-person meeting topics may be added, as an agenda is under development.

Details of when and where are yet to be finalized. Please keep a look-out for future announcements this summer.

On April 11 2022, InnovMetric announced the release of PolyWorks 2022, a new software product that features support for the Quality Information Framework standard (QIF) in Model-Based Definition applications within their new universal data hub.

PolyWorks 2022 offers the premiere open digital enterprise infrastructure for managing 3D measurement data. Native CAD and QIF MBD file readers import all Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerance (GD&T) control types to ensure digital interoperability as part of the product definition processes. PolyWorks 2022 is available now, worldwide, through InnovMetric’s PolyWorks reseller network.

DMSC President Curtis Brown commented: this announcement demonstrates the value of membership in the Digital Metrology Standards Consortium (DMSC). Expanding our members’ knowledge base around QIF standard implementation in the work force is key. We appreciate the resources our solution provider members devote to incorporating QIF into their product releases.

InnovMetric, based in Quebec City, Canada, is an independent software development company that empowers manufacturers of every size to digitally transform their 3D measurement processes. The company is a multinational organization with 500 employees dedicated to bringing 3D measurement data at the heart of enterprise manufacturing processes. Founded in 1994, the company has over 18,000 customers in 98 countries.
