Abstract

Tom Kramer delivers an Introduction to C++ for QIF.

Tom Kramer has been a guest researcher for the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) since 1984. He has been working with the DMSC for over 25 years, first on DMIS, then on QIF. Tom brings a technical perspective to QIF implementation following a code writing approach using a common coding language. Viewers gain a better understanding of what the QIF is, how it can be used and implemented, and why it is needed for the connected digital cyber/physical enterprise.

The Digital Metrology Standards Consortium (DMSC) member QIF End Users & Solution Providers present QIF Tech Series topics monthly through November 2021.

The webinar series will focus on QIF-centric topics and related subjects such as GD&T and MBE. The 20-30 minute presentations may be introductory level or more advanced content, and are intended to educate a broad variety of QIF implementers or future users. There will be a 15 minute Q & A session after each of the presentations.

Webinar technical content is provided by both QIF End Users and QIF Solution Providers with the goal of sharing real-life QIF or related implementations by advanced manufacturing operations.

The theme of the MBE Summit 2021 is Supporting Resilient Supply Chains with MBE. The current global pandemic has highlighted the need to improve the flexibility of manufacturing supply chains. Doing so requires insight generated by manufacturing analytics using reliable and trustworthy data and information. The MBE Summit will focus on the important role of MBE in generating this data, information, and insight.

The 2021 Model-Based Enterprise Summit will take place during the week of April 12-16. This twelfth event of the series will be on-line only and will combine asynchronous talks with real-time meetings and workshops. Included in this year’s event will be kickoff sessions for the Technical Language Processing Community of Interest. We are finalizing the list of speakers and, as the agenda solidifies.
