With the cancellation of the 2020 MBE Summit, DMSC will be offering, over the next few months, a series of 30-minute webinars presenting content originally intended as 2020 Summit tutorials. These webinars may be summarized as:

  • QIF 101 – First, one must understand the basics of the ANSI/DMSC Quality Information Framework (QIF) interoperability standard with QIF 101: Understanding QIF Basics.  QIF 101 will discuss what it is, why it matters and how it provides benefit to the model-based enterprise (MBE).
  • QIF 201 – Next, DMSC will present a description of the QIF with QIF 201: Reviewing QIF Technology.  QIF 201 will review the technology of the standard, the structure of the QIF, and top-level data elements of the QIF schema.
  • QIF 301 – Finally, DMSC will get more technical as we share one way to write code implementing the QIF with QIF 301: Coding QIF Applications.  QIF 301 will follow a code writing approach using a common coding language.  Viewers will gain a better understanding of what the QIF is, how it can be used and implemented, and why it is needed for the connected digital cyber/physical enterprise.

The above webinars will be announced via upcoming DMSC newsletters and website postings. These webinars will be open to all interested parties. Additionally, these webinar tutorials will be recorded for later viewing via links on the QIF/DMSC website.

The next MBE Summit has been rescheduled for 2021. DMSC has plans to participate.
