The four candidates for the two BoD openings:
2025-2027 Board of Director Candidates
Nathan Holden
Nathan is the Director of Product Development at DISCUS Software Company and has been with the business since 2017.
Nathan has been working in various technical, operational, and management roles for more than 24 years. Some of his experience includes the aerospace & defense industry as a quality professional, the design and implementation of Federal security and surveillance systems, and a life-long history of designing and implementing integration bridges to fill software gaps between unconnected systems.
Nathan is an advocate for the QIF standard as a neutral format that enables frictionless sharing of quality information that also helps to prevent vendor lock-in. He leads our product development teams to both plan for and deliver features that the 2,500+ DISCUS customers have requested.
Currently, Nathan is driving the development of four product features that are pertinent to the mission of the DSMC: exporting a 2D Technical Data Package to QIF, exporting any 3D model format to a 3D PDF, importing QIF files that invoke a 3D MBD model, and exporting QIF files that use a 3D MBD model, including any changes
DISCUS Software Company was a member of the DSMC in 2012 and assisted with the development of QIF 1.0.
Jeremy Hamilton
Jeremy is engaged in the development, deployment, and support of John Deere’s Coordinate Metrology systems globally which includes leveraging QIF daily. Jeremy started his career in John Deere at the Ottumwa Works factory in Ottumwa, IA U.S.A. with roles of continual growth in Design, Manufacturing, Facilities, and Factory Automation Engineering. Jeremy has been focused and aligned to standards since the very beginning, recognizing industry standards is the only way to provide sustainable interoperability.
After working at the Ottumwa Works factory, Jeremy moved to an Enterprise role where he owned, deployed, and supported OPC standard communications for all John Deere factories globally. At the same time, he led the Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) initiative for John Deere and aligned the terminology to industry standards. In 2015, Jeremy joined Cory Leland in Enterprise Metrology where he found the same synergies around standards and innovation. Together they are leveraging QIF to streamline the Metrology strategy for John Deere.
Thanks to the technical leadership roles provided by John Deere, Jeremy has had the opportunity to travel around the world and learn about many different cultures. Interacting with people is a passion for Jeremy and he loves the opportunity to experience what others experience in their own environments. Building personal relationships that outlast a project, or a role is a focal point.
Outside of John Deere, Jeremy loves spending time with family and helping on the family farm.
