Working Group Kick Off Meeting

QIF 4.0 Functional Testing Working GroupA key strategy for the QIF 4.0 Working Group is to integrate expert content from other related DMSC Working Groups (WG).

Some of these other DMSC Working Groups are inactive (soon to be revived) and some are new.

The first new Working Group will be the “Functional Testing” WG. After developing a WG Charter, the first task of this WG will be to build a model of non-shape testing, particularly functional testing. This area is quantitatively different from what QIF has modeled in the past as it is not a shape.

Anyone with interest or functional testing expertise is invited and welcome to participate (DMSC membership encouraged, but not required). Feel free to refer or invite a colleague.

A kick-off meeting was hosted Friday, December 2, 2022.  Snippets from our brief follow-up conversation with WG Chair Sam Gambrell (Lockheed Martin):

Initial PowerPoint Slide Deck: click here

Meeting Cadence:
Depending on feedback from the next meeting and open actions it will be ever 2 or every 4 weeks

Takeaway from Kick Off Meeting:
We are still working to identify the capabilities needed from QIF in order to support functional testing data.  Any use cases that DMSC membership can provide will be greatly appreciated.
