The Digital Metrology Standards Consortium (DMSC) is pleased to announce the continuation of our QIF Tech Series webinars for 2022.

The DMSC launched its popular QIF Tech Series Coffee Chats in 2021 which focused on QIF-centric topics and related subjects such as Closed Loop Manufacturing, MBD, MBE, C++ for QIF, and more.

These webinars delivered QIF implementation user stories and showcased our member solution providers’ attention to QIF integration within their products and services, benefiting all digital manufacturing sectors.

Planning for this year’s QIF Tech Series Coffee Chats is well underway. DMSC member participation in these webinars is a win for presenters and attendees alike.

DMSC President Curtis Brown recently shared:

“In addition to managing and maintaining the QIF and other emerging standards, the DMSC consistently works to identify membership value propositions. Providing DMSC member solution providers and manufacturers the opportunity to present their QIF implementation stories and case studies in the 2021 QIF Tech Series Coffee Chats has proven to deliver such a value. We urge all DMSC members to seize this opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of the QIF standard in real-time applications again in 2022. We also look forward to building awareness around the strength of the QIF standard and increased adoption across all manufacturing sectors.”

Each presentation is 20-30 minutes in length. Content varies from introductory level to more advanced, all designed to educate a broad variety of QIF implementers and future users. There will be a 15 minute Q&A session after each presentation.

Webinar technical content is provided by both QIF End Users and QIF Solution Providers with the goal of sharing real-life QIF or related implementations by advanced manufacturing operations.

In 2020, QIF 3.0 was published as ISO standard ISO 23952:2020, “Quality Information Framework (QIF) – An integrated model for manufacturing quality information”. This standard was developed by DMSC to support the entire scope of Model-Based Definition manufacturing workflow.

DMSC is a non-profit corporation with the charter to enhance, maintain and support the QIF standard and the Dimensional Measuring Interface Standard (DMIS).
